It was June 2023 at San Onofre State Beach, and we were both out catching waves (or least trying to!). A few laughs, a shared set, and a long chat on the sand later… something just clicked. Neither of us expected to meet someone that day—but the universe clearly had other plans.

From that first surf session, life got a whole lot sweeter. We spent the next couple of years soaking up beach days, road trips, tacos, sunrises, and plenty of spontaneous adventures. Somewhere along the way, it became pretty clear—we were each other’s person.

Fast forward to almost two years later, back at San O, in the exact spot where we first met—Matt popped the question. And of course, Sarah said yes.
